We are James Kerr (Host) and Meridie Fricker (Decorator) and we live halfway between Sydney and Perth, on a sheep station near Kimba, SA.

As we’re too far from Burra to be ‘hands on’ we rely on Burra local, Jodie Spalding (Co-Host) to welcome our guests.

We fell in love with the historic town of Burra and its lovely stone buildings many years ago.

We glimpsed Burra House with The Coach House tucked behind, through a veil of Peppercorn trees, as we peeked over our soon-to-be neighbours fence.

When it came on the market a year later, we jumped at the chance to restore and renovate these 1875 gems to their original grandeur.

Two years later we purchased The Surgeon’s House, a 1915 stone villa, that was frequently visited by locals, over many years, as it had been the home and surgery of the Burra doctor. Very little renovation was needed to bring this beauty back to her former glory.

We are proud to support local SA businesses in Burra, Crystal Brook, Pt Pirie and Kimba.
